Using samples is not less original than using synthesizers and real instruments. Hiphop wasnt about live instrumentation and it dont have to be that today either. It started with DJs looping breaks and then it slowly elevated from there. People are talking like sampling is somehow inferior to composing with live instruments.

i think its better to put that time/effort into learning an instrument and writing your own. sampling's fun, and i got nothing against it, just my from personal experience i find its a waste of time, because in the end i still cant call it my own and copyright it no matter how much i re-arrange it. only to end up putting more work in, making someone else songs sound better, because in the end its not even your song still.

not every sample's timing fits with another even by this method, but you gotta to experiment and find the pieces that you can make fit together.
